Donnell Ragan
Director
My name is Donnell Ragan I was born in Newark, New Jersey. I have been with Appletree Child Development Center since 2007. I began my adventure here at Appletree as the Chipmunk teacher. I have been married to my husband for over 20 years and we have two beautiful children together that we are very proud of. I am a graduate of North Carolina Central University (Eagle Pride!) with a B.S Degree in Family & Consumer Science specializing in Child development & Family Relations. I also attended J.S. Reynolds Community College in Richmond VA, where I received my Associated Degree in Early Childhood Education.
I enjoy the strong relationships that I have the opportunity to build with children and families. I believe that providing quality early care and education to a child expands beyond developing curriculum. It’s about joining with a family and celebrating their child’s growth and development from the moment they walk through our doors to the time they leave (and often beyond). Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
