Infant Environment – We have two beautiful spacious classrooms at three of our four facilities.
Infant I allows children 6 weeks to 9 months plenty of room to explore with tummy time, crawling, and exploring various toys to stimulate their social, emotional, language, and sensory development.
Infant II allows children 9 months to 14 months the opportunity to explore and make meaningful connections with their loving caregivers. They have a variety of center based activities which also allows them to choose the activity they would like to engage in.
Toddler Community
Our toddler learning environments allow toddlers 15 months to 3 years of age to learn and develop new skills daily. Language and self-help skills are the perfect opportunity to spark their natural curiosity for learning. Toilet training is one of the many skills that our staff help develop at these critical stages of a child’s life. Our trained staff work diligently to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, with an emphasis on keeping communication between teacher and parent open so that the needs of child are met.
Preschool Classes
We have various preschool classrooms, ranging from ages 3-5, made to give every child the opportunity to learn critical skills such as self-confidence, self-control, social skills, and effective communication. When your child transitions into our 4-5 year old Pre-K classes, a high emphasis is placed on beginner reading and writing skills which are practiced in centers throughout the classrooms and educational learning exercises. It is the goal of Appletree and its staff to ensure that the children enrolled in our Pre-K learning environments are prepared, both cognitively and socially, to advance into elementary/kindergarten school. Our mission is that they are not only ready for this transition, but that they thrive when they do.
School Age Program
Our school-aged program’s offer before and after-school care, track out, and a fully operative summer camp. We strive to provide the highest quality care with a focus on helping your child grow and develop to their highest potential; in and out of a school setting. Each of our locations has large open playgrounds for the children to get out and enjoy the fresh air and participate in games and outdoor recreation. One of our facilities even offers a huge spacious gym that they utilize for their classroom, as well as an indoor play area for days that the weather does not permit outside activity. The children in our care participate in a variety of themed learning related activities and also are provided the opportunity to venture out on fun and educational fieldtrips. Upon request, our staff can even provide homework assistance for your child when he or she arrives to the center each afternoon. We extend this and many other beneficial services for the families we represent. We provide services to children attending many different schools in the south east Raleigh area.
